Open Letter to all Prospective Trainees with the Wisdom Method School of Yoga

logoThe Wisdom Method™ School of yoga is growing rapidly and we are excited to continue bringing you high quality continuing education, yoga teacher training, and yoga therapy training. Over the next several months, the school will be evolving to meet the new guidelines for yoga therapy {effective January 1, 2014}, as established by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. We are also responding to Yoga Alliance’s revised curriculum guidelines. We will also be restructuring some of our current trainings, including the 305-hour Foundations, the 120-hour Fascia, Acture, and Person-Centered Asana, the 120-hour Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra, and the 60-hour Art of Wise Living | Ayurveda, Ethics, and Empowerment.

As the director and primary instructor, I am hard at work behind the scenes to bring you the best possible training experience: including adding more faculty members, enriching the curriculum, and adding several online and on-demand resources to support your off the mat learning.

Part of the changes coming over the next few months include

  • university-style courses with several learning tracks
  • Intensive and retreat-style trainings for more of our trainings
  • a Yoga Educator Training to train Lead facilitators of our RYS 200 training
  • the addition of an IAYT-accredited Yoga Therapy program {1200+ hours}
  • the addition of more faculty members

Because of these changes, some of the 2014 dates are not yet established: most notably our RYS200, Foundations program. This program is experiencing the most growth and I appreciate your patience as I refine the delivery of the program. Registration for this program will begin in early 2014.

If you are interested in continuing education with the Wisdom Method™ School of Yoga, or would like some information on one of the above trainings, please contact me here.

In the meantime, thank you for your interest in the Wisdom Method™ School of Yoga and I wish you all the best.

Kellie Adkins, M.Sc., ERYT-500, CYTher.
